A Walnut Wood Console

This elegant console table is a modern reproduction of a classic 1940's Hungarian design. Hungarian Art Deco is relatively unknown outside of Central Europe but it was very well-regarded at the time. Compared to French Art Deco, Hungarian piece tend to be simpler and use more domestic (as opposed ot exotic) materials. This table features beautifully matched walnut wood veneers and walnut solids for the gently tapered legs. It is a graceful piece with surprising heft.
