A Gert Nyström "Festival" Chandelier, c.1950's

A very large "festival" chandelier designed by Gert Nyström and produced in Sweden by Fagerhults with glass from Orrefors. The chandelier is made in 3 tiers; the top and bottom tiers have 30 cylinders each, and the larger center tier has 40 cylinders. The support for each tier is an aluminum rack loaded with flexible plastic fittings that hold the glass cylinders. The fittings slide along the rack to produce an even distribution of cylinders. The aluminum racks extend from an aluminum-sheathed center column that terminates at the ceiling in a chrome mounting canopy and rod together measuring 6". Total height is 24" and maximum diameter is 32". The condition of all parts, including the flexible plastic cylinder fittings, is excellent. 1 Available. Price for Each.
