Wooden Sculpture of God Vishnu

Hindu god Vishnu. In Vaishnavism, he is believed to be the supreme being who creates, protects, and transforms the universe. Husban of Lakshmi - the goddess of prosperity. Carved from solid teak, this Vishnu figure radiates power and repose in its depiction of the Hindu god of perseverance. The wooden sculpture captures Vishnu's serene countenance and gentle demeanor, embodying his divine essence as one of the supreme gods within Hindu pantheon. Adorned with traditional symbols such as a conch, symbolized beginning of creation, chakra; the weapon to destroy evil, mace; symbolized power and authority, and lotus symbolized purity. Below him lies his mount Garuda, a divine creature within the pantheon. The figure was carved in Gujarat province and decorated with mineral pigments.
