A Monumental Indian Arch Door

A monumental Indian arched door set crafted from solid hardwood and reinforced with an intricate grid of hand-forged iron studs. The tall double doors sit within a dramatic, rounded arch frame. Heavy iron straps, hinges, and rivets strengthen the construction and create a striking contrast against the warm, time-worn wood. Doors of this type were commonly found in historic forts, temples, and grand havelis across regions such as Rajasthan and Gujarat.  This ensemble consists of framing left and right, and an arched transom above a set of two matching doors.
