$980
Han Dynasty, China, 206 BCE–220 CEAncient terracotta rooster figures were created as mingqi funerary objects for burial during the Han Dynasty. Some examples were originally constructed with detachable legs inserted into openings beneath the body.  Their form is simple and honest, honoring rural life.
