This large, shallow flask is made from leather and was carried on one's back or strapped to a saddle with ropes fitted through it's embedded rings. The flask was sourced in Inner Mongolia and once likely held water, yak milk or even wine. It has a rich and beautiful patina, the leather stiffened from use and reapplication of lacquer coats over time. Converted into a lamp in The Golden Triangle's in-house workshop, its base is wood. the finial is solid brass, and the shade is black linen.
