A Monumental Thai Daybed Coffee Table

This monumental Thai daybed dates to circa 2000 and is constructed from solid teak. Its substantial legs reflect the traditional Lanna style of Northern Thailand. The name “Lanna” translates to “a million rice fields,” referring to the historic northern kingdom and its fertile landscape. Repurposed as a coffee table, the daybed offers a generous surface while retaining the strength and character of its original form. The piece was recently restored and refinished
