A Wooden Storage Vase

This hand-carved wooden jar once served as a grain or water storage vessels in Nagland, India. Each piece, sculpted from a single block of Saal. The rich patina, ranging from warm honey to deep espresso, bears the marks of age and daily use; one vessel still retains traces of its original blue pigment, a rare and evocative detail.
