A Pair of French Bedside Chests

This pair of French Side chests dates to the 19th Century and has a very simple design derived from the Directory. The frames are walnut, and the insert panels appear to be a different (but unknown) hardwood. The marble tops are marble and appear to be original. The drawers slide smoothly and have brass pulls. The doors also have brass handles, which twist to release the latch. The hardware is original and functional. The surface patina is warm and mellow. Though petite, they are quite solid and sturdy.
