A Wood and Bamboo Screen

A large, double-panel Japanese yoshido or summer door of Sugi (cedar) wood and Take (bamboo reed) construction. The sliding yoshido doors replaced winter shoji and fusuma sliding doors during summer to allow breezes to ventilate the traditional Japanese home.
