An Indian Vintage Stone Alcove Lamp

This lamp was made by mounting an Indian stoma candle holder in a wooden cradle. Majestic Indian homes often had entrances flanked by embedded stone candle holders. The holders are typically geometric in design, some painted, and always with a recessed cavity for the wax candle. When old houses are demolished, the stone candleholders are saved. The lamp hardware is new and matched to the US standard. The finial is a sotone, and the shade is cream linen.
