Chinese Courtyard Door

This tall and slender Elm Wood door panel was once part of a large series that surrounded a private courtyard in a Northern Chinese house. It features fine latticework and carved details. The patina is original with the addition of French polish and beeswax. It could be an excellent small closet door or even placed on a wall as a decoration. The piece dates to the 19th Century, Shanxi Province.
