A "Dragon Leg" Coffee Table

A small Thai tea table in the distinctive “dragon’s leg” style, expertly hand-carved from solid teak, c. 1940. The square top rests above a richly ornamented apron, adorned with intricate floral and geometric carvings that showcase the skill of traditional Thai craftsmanship. Teak, prized for its durability and beautiful grain, has developed a deep, lustrous patina over time. Tables of this type were traditionally used for tea service or low seating arrangements.
