From the Clouds series by Wanlop Hansunthai. The cloud paintings explore the internal structure of clouds and the way in which they appear to us in different light. Clouds are otherworldly, temporary abstractions and also anchored in the terrestrial, material world. The thick paint is made from a mixture of oil and soil to emphasize the materiality of clouds and their connection to the human beings that (temporarily) observe them, who are also made of earth.
