A rare fusion of Thai traditional and modern electronic music by Buck Hum Noi.
Buck Hum Noi (it means “little boy”) is made up of two accomplished musicians:
Chamni (Toni) Sripraram: Driven by a mission to revive and share Thai traditional music with non-Thai audiences, Chamni envisions music as a gateway to cultural understanding. Chamni is a skilled performer and currently a professor of Southeast Asian music at Northern Illinois University. Chamni’s repertoire extends beyond traditional forms, embracing a range of genres, including modern electronica.
SSATHAPAT: His deep passion for sound has driven him to explore every corner of the music landscape. Fascinated by the juxtaposition of acoustic and contemporary electronic music, SSATHAPAT is both a performer and a composer. He was a key member of the Thai rock band Chanudom, contributing as a guitarist, arranger and aural designer. He also worked as a producer for film scoring orchestras at Studio28, Bangkok’s most renowned recording studio.
